FRONT ROW SEAT TO A MIRACLE

FRONT ROW SEAT TO A MIRACLE

by Kim Aldrich

Over the past dozen years, I’ve been honored to be invited into the private world of more millennials than I can count. We’ve met in coffeeshops, restaurants, conference rooms, and living rooms, yet every encounter has shared one thing in common: the sheer joy of a three-way conversation between me, God, and one of His girls.

Yet over time, I’ve come to realize that it’s Jesus (not me) who’s doing the mentoring!

Though I do my best to show up, listen, ask questions, and offer feedback, both of us are keenly aware it’s His wisdom we’re looking for—and His guidance that leads to the “aha” moments that bring transformation. How I wish more women could witness firsthand how beautifully He steps in and oversees the process!

As a spiritual mentor, you’re definitely not on your own—Jesus always there, listening, leaning in, and available to help.

When two or three of you are together because of me,

you can be sure that I’ll be there.

MATHEW 18:20 (TM)

This means you don’t have to be a pastor, theologian, or professional counselor to disciple someone—the main qualification is “just be you, filled with Jesus.” Simply keep your heart open, your Bible handy, and your ear tuned to the Spirit, and He will be more than happy to guide you!

As for me I just can’t get enough. I love watching Him change women’s lives from the inside out. Each conversation is like a spiritual treasure hunt, as He lovingly and skillfully reveals patterns, replaces lies, and rebuilds each life on the foundation of His truth and love.

To start mentoring, all it takes is a solid connection to Jesus and an invitation to coffee…to gain a front row seat to a miracle.

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?

ISAIAH 43:19 (NIV)

FRONT-ROW CHALLENGEIf you’ve faithfully walked with Jesus for several years, maybe it’s time to move invite a millennial to coffee to the top of your to-do list? There’s nothing like pouring into others to increase the flow of passion and purpose in your own life!
